120-Yard Bratwurst Sets Record at Lambeau Field
The World’s Longest Bratwurst measured out to be 120 yards long on Sunday at Lambeau Field, according to the WBAY report of the event. What would motivate someone to make and grill a brat this long? Delware North, the concessions company at Lambeau Field, is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year. Inspired by the length of Lambeau Field, Delaware North challenged Johnsonville to create a brat the length of a football field. Teaming up with a variety of sponsors including GLK Foods, they set the world record.
The event took place Sunday, Sept. 13 at Lambeau before the Green Bay Packers opened the regular season at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears. Spectators and volunteers gathered for this extraordinary tailgate and witnessed food history being made. Not only was there a custom-built grill and plenty of brat to go around, the event also raised more than $40,000 for local causes including the Green Bay Humane Society, Boys and Girls Club, Back to School Store, New Community Shelter and the Golden House.
