As the new year sets upon us, people have started to predict 2016 trends from fashion to entertainment to foods. While years past have seen trends of kale, cronuts, and avocados, 2016 is predicted to highlight these top 5 foods, which are nutritious too!
It’s no surprise that our favorite food tops the list: fermented foods. The number one trendy and nutritious food for 2016 is fermented foods such as kraut, kefir, kimchi, and pickles. Fox News Health says to watch for this trend in restaurants and supermarkets as the new year starts. But it doesn’t have to stop there; try adding more kraut to meals at home. They recommending adding kraut to soups. Try it on salads, in hot dips, or on top of sandwiches. The possibilities are endless.
